It's been 14 years. Do you know how long 14 years are when
you miss someone? Someone you can't even remember, but you know that you love
her. Someone who took care of you and loved you so much. I can tell you that
it's a long time. And it doesn't stop with 14 years.
It goes on and on and on
until you die. The feeling that there is a hole in your heart and nothing could
ever fill it. I wouldn't wish it to anyone. And you keep getting reminded of
that feeling. Every time someone mentions his or her mother. Every time you see
a daughter cuddling with her mother. It's moments like these that cut into your
heart and make the hole even bigger.
It's moments like these that you just want
to crawl into your bed and never get out. But you can't. You have to stay
strong, keep going and look like you're all right when you're not. I've gotten
pretty good at it. I can now even fake a smile that seems real when I feel like
crying.
You must think that I'm pathetic. Maybe I am, but have you ever even
lived a day without seeing your mother, or even a month? Could you imagine
living without her for 14 years? I don't think so. So to every person out there
who is upset because you can't get the newest IPhone, please remember that you
are the luckiest person in the world for having both parents. Because I can't
tell you how much I wished I had 2 parents. Just thought you should know that.

Mia is only fourteen and is not that popular. She does not
like to draw attention to herself so she just doesn't talk to people. Ever
since the second grade she has been going to this school and she had only one
friend; Jack White. Jack was her only friend when she moved here and she has
had a crush on him ever since then. Jack hasn't been talking to her lately and
she wanted to know why.
Mia texts him saying; Why have you been ignoring me? I
thought we were friends.
She waited a few minutes and decided to go on a walk.
Walking helps her blow off steam. She was two blocks down the street when her
phone beeped meaning that she got a text.
Mia opened it up and it said; LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!! I DONT
LIKE YOU!!!!
Mia didn't know what to do. So she ran home and cried until
she couldn't any more.
Jack on the other hand had lost his phone and had no idea
that the text was sent.
The next day Mia never lifted her head and when Jack came up
to her and tried to talk to her and she just ran past him and out of the
school. Mia ran outside and started to cry again. She was wondering why he was
talking to her when he said that he never liked her.
Jack fallowed her and he
saw Mia crying. He wanted to know what he did wrong but before he could ask she
took off toward her house. When Mia came through her front door she ran to her bathroom
and got a pair of scissors and was going to slit her wrist which she knew would
kill her in an instant. She sat there and just thought for a while.
Jack went to her house and knocked on the front door. No one
answered so he tried the door nob and it was unlocked. He walked in and walked
to Mia's room hoping to find her there. No one was there but her phone was on
her bed along with many tisues. Jack walked over and picked up her phone and
saw the text and his heart sank. He loved her and would never say this.
Mia had herd someone in her room and she sat down the
scissors and walked to her room. Jack was standing there holding her phone.
Jack spoke first, "Mia i didn't send this."
Mia didn't know what to do.
Jack took a step toward her and then another, and another
until he was directly in front of her.
"Mia, i love you and would never say this to you,
ever."
Mia was shocked. All she could say was, "I thought you
hated me." She looked down at her shoes.
Jack tilted her head up and said, "If i hated you would
i do this." And he kissed her.
