Nigeria: Osun Traditional Rulers Endorse Aregbesola for Second Term

Traditional rulers in Isokan, Ayedaade and Irewole Local government of the State of Osun have endorsed the second term of Rauf Aregbesola as governor the state.
Speaking at the Public interactive forum tagged "gbangbadekun" in Ikire, the traditional rulers said the endorsement becomes imperative judging from Aregbesola's performance in a spate of 3 years on the saddle of government. The monarchs stated that Aregbesolas government has performed beyond everybody's expectation and so deserved to continue the good works he has started.
According to spokesperson of the Monarchs, Akire of Ikire, Oba Olatunde Talabi, "this is the first time the state has been blessed with a governor that has listening ears. Aregbesola's continuity in Office will benefit the people and the state in no small measure.
"This is why we thought it wise to endorse the governor for second term so that he can finish the good work he started in Osun. They added that Aregbesola has shown direction for good governance". "The present generation like the time of Awolowo has greatest opportunity especially on education with instructional tools tablet of Knowledge which is one of the best technology in the world."
The governor in his remarks pointed that his administration being a government that has people as its focus will not relent in making life's more meaningful for the people of the state.
According to him, "we have done what most people claimed has never been done in the history of the state, we are so people centered that it will be difficult for us to abandon the people mid stream.
"The best way to pursue our objectives about governance is to run the whole hug of the mandate provided by the constitution, that will give us enough time to meet all our aspiration for the people, it is in the interest of the people that we are seeking re- election." The governor stressed.
