A few days ago it was revealed that the upcoming Afrobeats star is in the December (not November – sorry) edition of GQ(British) Magazine – 25th Anniversary issue(collector’s item) as the face of its GQDetails Music section(picture below) written by Dorian Lynskey – Introducing Afrobeats: Get Ready To Be Amazed And Confused. The article talks about Afrobeats being a force to reckon with and within the Good and The Bad selection of repetitive sounds , there is Temi DollFace’s type of fresh music – a different type of sound in the African music world – tagged as African Janelle Monae.
Temi Dollface is actually a blend of Monae, Erykah Badu, Billie Holiday and of course Temi herself.
Absolutely love the side profile of Temi DollFace, the hat and the earrings – pata pata! The picture used in this article is a promotional shot by Lakin Ogunbanwo and Temi DollFace styled herself for the picture.
