Truck Killed Pupil in Lagos

Report reaching us has revealed that one pupil was crushed to death in a multiple auto crash accident at Ikota area of Ajah, Lagos on Monday. The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, DSP Ngozi Braide confirmed the incident, saying the child was crushed at about 8a.m. on her way to school while two others were seriously injured.

She said the accident involved one water tanker Mercedes Benz car and a Toyota Prado.
Enquiry revealed that the water tanker ran into the children not nothing that the Prado gave way for pupils to cross the road.The two pupils injured are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

She said some youths, infuriated by the incident, barricaded the Lekki/Ajah Expressway.
protesting on incessant accidents and lack of pedestrian bridge which they had been asking for.

The situation had, however, been brought under control with the quick intervention of the police in the area.
